Peter F. Warren
Peter Warren, a former resident of Murrells Inlet, SC is the author of seven novels. Among them are two Civil War novels (Confederate Gold and Silver and The Journey North). His newest release - FORGOTTEN TREASURE - will appeal to readers of murder-mysteries and Civil War novels. He is also the author of four murder mysteries. These four novels (The Horry County Murders, The Parliament Men, Murder in Murrells Inlet, and ONE BROTHER'S REVENGE) all have scenes which take place in Horry and Georgetown counties. Peter currently resides in Connecticut. He is married and has two sons.
A retired Major from the Connecticut State Police Department, the author is a graduate of both the University of New Haven and the FBI National Academy. He is also an Honor Graduate of the Connecticut State Police Academy. Serving with the Connecticut State Police Department for thirty years, he commanded several specialized units; among them were the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, a Major Crime Squad, and the department’s narcotics task force. A longtime Civil War buff, Peter is the author of – CONFEDERATE GOLD AND SILVER, and the principle author of THE JOURNEY NORTH.
Following the release of these two Civil War novels, he released his third book – a murder mystery which takes place between Myrtle Beach and Georgetown. That novel, THE HORRY COUNTY MURDERS, has drawn a great deal of favorable attention from many readers and book clubs. It has also received several wonderful reviews in print.
On the heels of The Horry County Murders, Peter released his fourth novel - THE PARLIAMENT MEN. This exciting and suspenseful murder mystery takes place in North Litchfield and Pawleys Island, SC. The basis of this story is loosely based on the most intense murder investigation the author had a hand in supervising during his career. The Parliament Men has received several outstanding reviews due to Peter’s investigative experiences and from his ability to craft a suspenseful story.
The author's most recent releases are proving to be among his most popular stories. MURDER IN MURRELLS INLET and ONE BROTHER'S REVENGE are other exciting murder mystery which take place along South Carolina's Grand Strand. Like his other novels, MURDER in Murrells Inlet has received several favorable reviews from newspapers and other reviewers.
The author often speaks at a variety of events. These include appearances at book clubs, libraries, schools, and other civic events. He has also participated in book signings, and in talks about his books, at Appomattox Court House and at the Gettysburg National Military Park.
